This guy bills himself as an inventor of useless products, and he's generally right on the mark, but this time he may actually be on to something.

Ha! A second mouse is a lot cheaper than a 3D printer. Still, pretty clever...

iMac (19,1, 3.1 GHz i5, 12.7.4, 40 Gb RAM); MacBook Air (1.8 Ghz, 8 Gb RAM, 10.14.6, 256 Gb SSD) Vodafone router and Devolo Wi-Fi Extender, Canon TS8351 printer/scanner.

It may actually be a marketable product, though, in which case there'd be no need for a 3D setup.

That is truly an incredible invention. However, this article, which directly references that YouTube video, makes an astonishing revelation: after placing the mouse in the amazing cradle while charging, the inventor found out the mouse does not work. Apparently Apple's design precludes the mouse from operating while charging, regardless of position. Hence, the mandatory and inoperable upside-down nature of the charging Magic Mouse.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

Thanks for that. It's interesting that the thing appears to work in the inventor's video.

And, ironically, if one was able to charge and use simultaneously, they'd be back to having a wired mouse. Personally, I have yet to find that charging is an issue. The charge lasts an awfully long time and, when it needs to be renewed, just leave it charging overnight.
