OS 10.12.6 Just now I cannot send or receive emails I have tried adding a new account but when I enter my Email and password in "add a mail account" the gear wheel just keeps spinning forever.

I chatted with an agent from apple and he said to shut down and remove the power plug. I did that and after about a minute, I replaced it and held down the shift, control & option keys together at the same time as switching on the power. I held that for 10 seconds and supposedly, that should fixed my email problem...it didn't however.

I have just noticed that they cannot verity the account...since it is a new account, I don't support they can.??

Can some one help me out?

The problem sounds like it may be with your email provider.

Give it some time to work itself out.

I think you could be right. Sometimes it sorts itself out... lets hope so.
