I use the same lens wipes on my monitor that I use on my reading glasses. For what it is worth the brand I use is Zeiss and depending on the quantity they run about 7¢ a wipe on Amazon.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Thanks Joe, the Zeiss small spray bottle, I think came with one of my Maui Jims, so good company. Also know Zeiss from camera lenses.
I used to big cloth and spray bottle, but I could be open to wipes. It seems would be economical and wipes would still be good over 3-5 years unopened?

I can’t honestly vouch for how long the seal on the packet will last, but mine are 2+ years old and going strong. They are never super wet, but they are wet enough to do the job.

I have always been reluctant to use sprays on the theory it is almost impossible to prevent overspray and potentially damaging moisture from getting into places it shouldn't. Although I have never heard of any damage resulting from that. In spite of my penchant for being an early adopter of all things technological, that is one situation where I didn't want to be at the head of the line. 😲

I use a spray called Screen Mom that I got on Amazon. It comes with a large microfibre cloth with instructions to spray on the cloth, then wipe the screen. The label says "odor free, streak free, ammonia free, alcohol free, phosphate free, anti-static." I think it's mostly water, but contains "plant-based ingredients". Works for me. It's 16 oz. and, considering how often I use it, should last a lifetime. I clean my iMac, laptop screens, and television.
