iTunes keeps launching itself

I've had a look around the interne but found nothing conclusive, can you help?

iTunes keeps launching itself when there's nothing plugged in to initiate it and I haven't pressed any keys. I'm just sitting here reading email or even playing Solitaire. It's just done it five times in five minutes. I went out and came back in 20 minutes later, having quit out of it, again, before I left. When I came back, there it is, playing away, again. frown

Any ideas or solutions gratefully received, thanks!

You say " there's nothing plugged in to initiate it and I haven't pressed any keys." Have you checked BlueTooth connections?

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Try a Restart or Shutdown and then startup.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.
