Here's a recent heads up for those of us with late model MBP's (2015 and newer) with the slimmer scissors keyboards that have shown a tendency to early failure.

Apple has acknowledged the issue and started a repair program as described HERE....

Mine hasn't yet exhibited any issues, but that doesn't make it immune.
