Where can I find a picture of the internal layout of the iMac 11,1? (iMac i7 2.8gHz Quadcore) I've flogged Google and nothing shows up. I'm interested to know what is located in the upper left corner as I sit facing the screen. Using my hand to feel the warmth on the back of the iMac, it seems to be warmer there than anywhere else.

Yes, this iMac is eligible for a hard drive replacement, but I will do it when I can pry my wife's fingers away from hanging on to it while she finishes a book. As a precaution, I'm doing backups in time machine hourly on her machine (as we always do) and also daily to my Mac Pro using a FireWire 800 cable and Target Disk Mode on the iMac. She's willing to take the risk.
Check out this teardown at iFixIt; go here for installation guides. The heat you're feeling is probably from one of the two heat sinks (see step 21).

THANK YOU! I appreciate the assist. Given the heat-generating hardware in the vicinity makes it a natural to feel the heat where I feel it. I'll quit worrying about it and just make sure the sunlight doesn't add to the total heat.
