Hello,
I am trying to trouble shoot a kernel panic, this is what I have done so far. Anyone have some more suggestions on what I could try?
1.

Switch over to backup server.
2.

Asked the user what they were doing when this happened and if it had happened before.
3.

Checked the server maintenance log to see what changes have been made before the panic.
4.

Reviewed Crash Log for possible causes.
5.

Backtraced the error.
6.

Ran virus scan.
7.

Checked File permissions for incorrect settings.
8.

Checked for loose hardware including cards and cables.
9.

Used the Smmystem Profiler to check hardware status.
10.

Removed all peripheral devices.
11.

Removed all third party kernel extensions and tested them for compatibility.
12.

Bench tested the RAM, Hard Drives and other hardware to see if it is working properly.

any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
ph8

Have you tried everything suggested here? (I didn't do a cross-check.)
