Sierra. I used iskysoft 'ultimate' to compress a video clip 1min 5secs long via iskysoft>toolbox>file size 501MB>resolution: Smart fit>Format MP4, bitrate 60939kbps.

I ran it twice but the end result was still 501 MB. I image I did something wrong but I don't know what. Can anyone help me out please.

Hahaha......sounds similar to a neighbour who recently bought a brand new car with all the technological bells and whistles. He says it seemed like a good idea in the showroom but now he's thinking he may have to hire a high school kid to show him how it all works.

For the curious what did you son do to resolve the problem?

He put it into imovie 9 and reduced the physical length and then used iskysoft and lessened the file size until I could send it in an email. Got it down to 18MB from 501MB
It was a bit cloudy but served the purpose.
