Notes is a fairly important app, that I have synced on four devices.

Sometimes I "select all" a note and instead of clicking copy, by accident I clink paste. Whatever is on the clipboard at the time then paste over the note, ruining the note.

Is there an undo?

Is there anything one can do to go back to how the notes was originally?

I don't use Notes, but the general undo command is command-Z.

Also, I'll guess that you'll get a "Save changes or Revert?" pop-up if you try to close the note.

Undo (for text changes) on iOS devices is a ‘shake’ gesture. Shaking the device will bring up an ‘Undo Typing. Cancel | Undo’ dialog box.

Thanks U, yes remember that but have not tried it in ages. Just tested it in Notes and it did not work. It did not undo a copy/ paste.

Not sure what is different for you, as I tested it before posting ?!?

Thanks U, I had that setting off as it drove me crazy in the paste.

Turned it back on. Now, I notice, -- what this there before?.. That before just undoing something, the iphone ask if you want the undo? Which is good.
