I have SnapNDrag v2.5.6 installed and it mostly works as designed. But recently, I discovered 2 small nits:
1) The shutter/clicking sound no longer works.
2) The arrow pointer does not work (but the cross hairs do).

I have worked quite a bit with the developer, and even after trashing all SND bits & pieces, several reinstalls, & reverting to older versions, the dreaded condition persists. The developer is at a loss and indeed it seems I am the only one who is experiencing this anomaly.

Additionally, I have Safe Booted, Zapped, Repaired, replaced mice, reviewed recent installs, and ran DiskWarrior all without success. And much to my surprise, still no joy when in a new User.

If this were a major problem, I would be most anxious. But this is indeed a minuscule issue. My frustration lies in not being able to resolve the problem.

Thus, my quest. Is there an easy way to find & resolve the conflict?

How about rolling back to version 2.5.5 ?

Hal, For reason that escape me, when one downloads SND v2.5.5, from either MU or VT, what appears in the subsequent Get Info is 2.5.6.

I too thought using an older version might be the solution, so I asked the developer to send one. And he did. And still no joy.

Well i haven't actually used it in ages, but i just tested and can confirm no click/shutter sound in 2.5.5 (mine says 2.5.5 in the About box and Finder short version list view).

Solution would lie with the developer, IMO.

The shutter sound worked for me in 2.5.5, and I've now d/l'ed the most recent 2.5.5 from VT (which installs as 2.5.6), and the shutter sound still works, both in 10.5.7 and 10.6.3.

(I've never been able to get the cursor pref to work as it's apparently supposed to work.)

And now that I've learned Hal also has a nit with SND, I can contend myself with the assurance that this issue lies with the developer.

That most others find no issue, well, that merely means I am in a select group.
