Out of the blue, I'm seeing tooltips when I hover over links in Safari. (FTM is just an example; it happens on all websites.)

I've never used any 3rd party "hidden feature" apps, so I guess I inadvertently hit the appropriate key combo, but Google and I haven't been able to find it.

I've tried a Terminal command I found, but it dates back to Safari 9 and didn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Not a tool tip.....it's the Status Bar. Go to the View menu and select "Hide Status Bar" and you should be back to your normal responses.

YAAAY! Thanks a million. smile

Actually, of course they're not tooltips; they're in the wrong location.

More: Hmmm... In that case, I wonder if I actually turned some sort of tooltips off with the command I ran, and what they might be?

Guess I'll reverse the command.
