I use VPS windows 2012 through a company for a couple of items. Can this bring danger to my Mac via virus or hacks?

Unlikely. If you're running a Windows VM, that VM can be infected, though the infection will be limited to the VM and won't affect your Mac.

Tacit, excellent. Great.

the VPS company though got some hack on their end, and then had a to do list for all their client -- which would of taken 1/2 by day.. change password.. even that screwed stuff up..

But install an anti virus? That requested that idea. But from what you are saying I shouldn't be bothered with that right?

Your Mac may not be effected, but your virtual machine may be and depending on how the particular VM interacts with your Mac, your Mac files may be vulnerable and could be damaged or a virus could propagate from the VM to other Windows computers through your Mac. Running a Windows antivirus in your VM is not a bad idea and some companies require it for access to their networks.

JOe Oh no! You don't agree with Tacit? I have no other windows, it's VPS, I buy it only for one software. It's a PITA to bother with antivirus, but I guess I could do it. But then it slow down my life there which is already cluncky and slow right?

You Really think my Mac files/ folders are at risk? Tacit, who is the 2nd smartest one here after you (ok tie-- both very smart) says don't bother... Tacit? Let me know Joe... Hate anti virus.. gave up on them while back on Mac.
