OS 10.12.6

I have sent 2 emails which go into the outbox and keep flashing back between the message I sent, and back to the outbox, even as I type it is happening.

I don't have the mail open now but the desktop is flashing back and forth.

What's going on?

Have you rebooted?

Going joemike one better, try shutting down and starting up; it gets deeper into the system than merely restarting.

After a considerable time, it resolved itself. Just a quirky thing?
