Problem:
Machine (PPC OS X 4.11) cannot use Chicken or Teamviewer for outbound connections. (No ARD installed)

Inbound we can connect using Chicken, ARD but not Teamviewer.

Tiger firewall off.
DHCP with manual ip assigned.
Can access router externally and ports 5900 and 3283 open.

Unsure what else to check. Since I am accessing externally using Chicken I have to be careful what I do as I do not want to be kicked off and then be unable to access.

I thought it was an issue with configd file but that appears to be sorted now after following guidelines on previous post.

Anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Michael

I assume "chicken" is Chicken of the VNC", a very popular VNC client for the mac. If you are able to VNC into the computer in question but not out, you should look at the situation on the other end you are trying to connect out to. Your local mac may either have the ports mapped properly or be using uPNP to map the incoming connection. If that's not set up or set up poorly at the other end, it would prevent your connecting out from your computer, INTO that other computer.

Cheers.

Chicken of VNC is now superseded by Chicken. Honestly smile slight name change. See Chicken

Yes definitely something. Mapping looks OK but will double check.

Thanks
