I realize that I'm going to have to switch from iWeb to something else before too long, because I can't expect iWeb to continue to work on newer versions of OSX. And also, I'd rather switch before I create very many more new pages which I would then have to redo completely in a new web design package.

So, I'm wondering what you folks are using for web publishing these days. I've done a bit of a search on the net and found that Sandvox (wysiwyg) and RapidWeaver (non wysiwyg) seem to get good reviews at various sites. Any experience with these? Or, any others that you would recommend?

I was where you are and went with Sandvox. This software can import old iWeb sites, but with varying success.

As far as the Sandvox itself is concerned, I am very happy with it. Nice interface, fairly straightforward and easy to use and seems to do everything iWeb did (and more). And great support from the developers and some nice third-party add-ons.

It was a fairly smooth transition for me. Your mileage may vary. smirk
Freeway isn't bad and offers WYSIWYG and templates.
Thanks for the replies. Sorry, for the delay in responding. Got a bit busy over the holidays.

I wasn't aware that Sandvox could import iWeb sites. That may be the deciding factor.

I'll check out Freeway too. Hadn't seen that one before.
There are two versions of Freeway in the App Store.
I should mention that because of the rather slow upload speed of my ISP, I've gotten pretty good at creating and/or updating single pages on the site. So, I wouldn't have to worry about getting something that I could use to change the entire site all at once. The big problem with iWeb was that the source pages were in a proprietary format. The ideal solution would be to find a package that could edit the pages in their final html format, so that I wouldn't be held hostage to some oddball development package.

Have you tried EverWeb? It looks and works a lot like iWeb did.
