It's happened in the past. I went to a site with Firefox and the page went blank while it was loading, then it stopped loading after a while. Problem still exists if Ad Block Plus is disabled. No problem loading the page in Safari.

Try here. The bottom of Firefox, the load message at the bottom left, briefly says doubleclick.net while the page is loading. I've had the same problem with other sites that say doubleclick.net.

No problem here on Firefox 3.6.28 under Mac OS X 10.5.8. The URL you provide forwards to the new site http://stephencranesociety.wordpress.com/, but both pages display just fine. Perhaps another extension than Ad Block Plus is giving you grief this time.
If you're running Ghostery, try disabling it; it can affect the loading of a page similarly to the way AdBlock does.
I agree with Artie.
But rather than disable Ghostery just whitelist the URL you're trying to access; it'll get the job done (usually).
