Next up: Download record cleared automatically

All of a sudden in the Downloads window every download (progress) record is cleared automatically when the download is completed (ie, without my either deleting individual records or hitting the clear display button at the bottom of the window). I have no idea what I might have done to select that behavior; it just started happening all on its own.

I set Firefox to show the Downloads window whenever a download was coming in. But I've done nothing else to change any settings in this regard.

Suggestions (to get back to the status quo ante)?

Resolved: Somehow (sleep-browsing?) the preference to remember download history became unselected which caused the behavior. Now back to normal.
