I found a couple of websites that compress videos so they are easier to send. After compression, one still isn't sending all the way. The instructions don't say whether the video I chose on my desktop is the one that is compressed or if it goes somewhere else. Do you know?

If you started the compression process with the one on your desktop, it would seem that the compressed version is somewhere else, unless, on the other hand, the original itself has been compressed.

Also, remember that even the compressed video may exceed your email attachment size limit.

I watched a video doing the compression thing with VEED which I've done in the past. But this time it didn't do what it was supposed to and show the compression options on the left of the VEED window. There should have been a choice to how compressed I wanted it to be. Anyway, I tried another version and it worked but it still took forever to send via text. It didn't give me an option as to how much I wanted it compressed. It did finally send.

Well, mission accomplished...somehow! smile

(I assume it was received as intended?)

It was received but was unable to be opened. It did say it would be locked or something to that effect 4 hours after downloading and it was past the 4 hours. I don't think VEED does that, but the other company did. It's okay, I got it sent another way after that. Thanks for asking.

PMFJI but I wanted to point out the default in Mail is to send large attachments via Mail Drop and the size limit is 5GB. While I am aware of your reluctance to use iCloud, but, instead of using email attachments consider iCloud File Sharing. It is very secure, iCloud is encrypted, iCloud file transfers are end to end encrypted, you can share the file with "anyone that has the url" or "only those you invite". Videos will not "stream" from the cloud, but they will download easily and file sizes can range all the way up to 50GB.
