Anyone know of a freeware or cheap software that can download the audio from YouTube to save as an mp3 (or more likely, AAC) into itunes.

I've been using Audio Hijack but it's a little cumbersome (trying to time the Record from Audio Hijack with the Play in the video for example), unless I've been doing it wrong.

YouTube to MP3 (scroll down; download link) would work.

Should you run into flv clips, try iExtractMP3. In both cases, read the comments for more info.

YouTube to MP3 requires 10.5

Oops, I noted Intel, but overlooked your OS version. Try Get Tube instead. Again, read the comments: you may need an older version (e.g., 4.01), available on the developer's web site (next to the Download button).

OS 10.5.8
I have found www.video2mp3.net useful but I can't remember if it's good for tiger
It's also free.
