I have do not disturb 11pm to 8am.. Phone does ring, but someone called me for a video call at 2am and the phone rang, what is up with Whatsapp that in can bypass without me waning it the Do not Disturb?

There are settings that allow calls to bypass Do Not Disturb. On the Mac in System Preferences > Notifications > Do Not. Disturb there is an option to Allow calls from everyone and another to Allow repeated calls (a second call from the same person within three minutes will not be cancelled). On your iPhone in Settings > Do not disturb there is an option to allow calls from Everyone, No one, Favorites, or specific Contact groups as well as repeated calls. Have you checked to see if any one those Do not call exceptions are enabled?

Joe says allow call from No One. Yes the phone rang, and was not the ring on the iphone, it was the whasts app goofy sounding ring.. Maybe other phones systems pierce through that?

I can't easily test this and I don't have a 2nd phone with whatsapp
