Receiving text today, but not getting the normal sounds alerts. I've peeked around and can't figure it out. Anyone know what setting might have gotten tripped up? Thanks.

Assuming you have not accidentally muted some sound source, power off your iPhone and turn it back on. This usually corrects the problem when it has happened to me.

Coincidentally Ira, today, a voicemail, which has a flag red icon wont dismiss. So I rebooted, and it was there, and then finally vanished.

Bottom Line: I not in habit or rebooting as I do with computers! But I have to think reboot more with phone.

Update, hour later, after reboot; I see a voicemail there, no alert nothing-- go figure. Apple glitch or Verizon.
