According to SnoopWall, the top 10 flashlight apps are a serious security threat/risk to Android users and to a lesser extent to iOS users.

I wonder if the article is credible and if I was imperiled (prior to deleting High-Powered Flashlight).

Waddya think?

Apparently, just more myth/FUD and a slimy attempt to sell their own product.

That I was concerned enough to post... Ah, a bit red-faced am I.

There is a flashlight feature built into iOS 8, no app needed.

And the iOS flashlight works just fine. While it don't often use the flashlight, I do miss the brightness adjustment I formerly had. OTOH, I am pleased to be rid of the ads. On balance, well worth the trade. grin
