I have set up the Mail4.5 app on my Mac Pro to handle junk mail the way I like it. I find no provision for handling junk mail on my new iPhone4S. The iPhone User Guide doesn't even have the word "junk" in it if the "find" function is to be believed.

Anybody have tips on how to separate junk mail from the good stuff on the iPhone4S?

You need your Mac (or any computer for that matter) running to take care of spam filtering as your iPhone isn't really suited to handle that. Things would also involve IMAP email accounts. Google for various details.

Thanks. You confirmed my suspicion. I have an IMAP account at Yahoo! that works very well, but I've dumped the Google IMAP. They make it too complicated to operate in my opinion. The rest of my accounts are POP. I think I'll leave it as is and just do what I'm doing. Again, thanks for the reply. smile

A little followup. Yahoo! started asking me to re-enter my password repeatedly. It became so frequent that I terminated the account. The effort to terminate the account also turned out to be annoying. It can be done, but it isn't easy. Now, I'm using only POP accounts. I'll just have to be patient with the spam. My regret is that you were exceedingly helpful and I hated to waste the effort, but I'm in a housecleaning mode right now and I'm simplifying a lot of things. Best regards and thanks for the assist.
