Using an ipod touch as an internet radio - 04/16/11 02:42 AM
I figured it out so I thought I'd share. This time I have the answer and not the question!!!
I got a 2nd or 3rd (same thing) gen iPod touch (Apple refurb on Apple website -- cheap)
I already have a iLuv boombox (carry around speaker system) that my iPod nano fits into.
I got a thing called a Scosche connector that changes the pins so the Touch will fit where the Nano did.
I set up a wifi network on the Cisco Router and connected the Touch to the network.
I can get to iTunes through the 'pod, I can download individual radio apps, or use an app called Tunein Radio as a 'tuner', I can watch youtube by getting an extension cable so I can hold the 'pod horizontally and have the boombox on the shelf, etc. I could get bluetooth wireless speakers, but then I'd have to wear a tin-foil hat.
Now you tell me what I can do for the migraine I get from watching tiny little moving pictures.
