I get lot the updates available badge alert on desktop laptop and and says install or remind me tomorrow, but don't see way to dismiss the badge. On iPhone swipe up, how rid of in desktop, thanks!
The only way I've ever found to dismiss that pop-up is to click on "Remind Me Later."

It's not a standard notification, so my AppleScript doesn't banish it.

I'm curious, why you need a script to "banish" a notification? confused

It's the ony way of which I"m aware to do it with a hotkey.

Correction: It's not an AppleScript; it's an Automator workflow.
The light dawns. 🔆 Good solve! 👍 I seldom ever use a hotkey because I can never remember what they are, so I never thought of the need. Since I often have my hand on the trackpad I just zip up and tap to dismiss it. Now that i think about it, if i used a mouse, I would probably learn to remember the hotkeys. 🤔

ON that issue Joe I did decide to stay with Corded Logitech Mouse. Not even going to get a new cordless one, not to mention trackpad. Reality is you don't get used to them as well.

Example, I still today after 6 months make tons more typos on the magic keyboard than old normal white G5 keyboards.

Easier to clean, and now old one too hard to find mint new, but buy they were easier to type with. Same with mice. Old corded ones best feel.

I would go used on old keyboards, buy unlike mice, they just get too grungy with dirt inside them. And cordless is nice, so this is nice balance, cordless keyboard, easys to clean, and cordless, albiet nowhere near as easy to type than old real keyboards and a corded mouse.

I passed through the "remember" stage long ago and am deep into the "muscle memory" stage.

Ask me what the hotkey for a particular function is, and I'm liable to have absolutely no idea, but it'll be at my fingertips ( grin ) when I need it.
