Has anyone noticed that spotlight may not work with folders and files you put in icloud drive?

As far as I can tell, Spotlight is correctly finding files on either iCloud drive or a local drive, but occasionally the response time from iCloud is noticeably slow and so the iCloud files may take a while to populate the search window.
