In dropdown, I see images, then choose type, oddly I don't see .psd listed.
What can one do? thanks.

Add criteria to search by 'File extension'.

Click the tiny (+) button on the far right.

of course, I already know of that before I posted.
You click on the + at far right.
But I don't see anyway to specify I want PSd.

And if for whatever reason "File extension" is not on the list, choose "Other..." and scroll down until you find "File extension". If you think you'll be using it again, put a check mark next to it. That puts it on the menu permanently. If you only want it this time, leave the checkmark off. If your menu is getting longish because you've added so many essential criteria, uncheck a few to shorten the list.

ok guys, thanks, it's rather clumsy, but I see it/ found it. not totally intuitive.
