BTW, i searched the iTunes store intensely yesterday, trying to determine the "best" version of Schubert's Ave Maria. To my surprise, i ended up choosing the one sung by Wynonna Judd. Incredibly beautiful... her voice is rich, powerful, authoritative, and with impeccable Italian enunciation... yet also tender and mellifluous.

I musta gone through over 30 of the 50 or so offerings at the store, before deciding on Wynonna. [Some i ruled out because the recording level was abysmally low.] Check it out, if interested.

Well, we made it through Solstice without the stars aligning correctly to allow the Great Old Ones freedom from their slumber in the sunken city of R'lyeh to reclaim the earth in an orgy of darkness and despair, so that's good, at least.

But what about the dark rumblings coming from God's waiting rooms in Palm Springs FL and across the water from you in Victoria BC?
Are tectonic shifts in the offing?
Or are they just the borborygmi of the disenchanted and geriatric?

I think that's more likely just a midterm election year coming up.

But the grumblings of the recalcitrant birthers in FL wouldn't account for the phenomenon at the butt end of Vancouver Island.

Actually they were out and about, disguised as humans and working behind the scenes in Copenhagen, to ensure that nothing good would come of it.

It's a little late for that, around here anyway. It's usually very cloudy at the end of December in Wisconsin.

Ooops.......I'll revise and extend wishes for everyone's 2010 to have plenty of sunshine days.
