I get this error message after I hit submit. There is always a long delay after trying to post something. How long has it been since this site has worked properly? Over a year?

The thread in FineTunedMac Feedback has reported on this previously.

The problem seemed to go away for a few months, but in the last week or two I have also experienced the time out error. Regardless of the error, the post still does get posted. Annoying, yes. Fatal, no. I just find something else to do during the posting process.

At the first sign of delay I just quite Safari, which logs me out, and I log back in. It takes about 20 seconds and, on logging in, I find my post has been posted.

It's interesting that the delay seems to occur most often in the original posting. For example, I find that edits are executed reasonably quickly.
