They are so COOL. They were only made for a year I think. They came with a leather case with CDs of stuff. It has the coolest chime ever. I like it so much that I wish I could have one!

I still have mine, which I got the day Apple decided the remaining inventory was taking up too much space, and reduced the price to $2,000.

The TAM makes a decent CD player for CDs that are commercially manufactured, but cannot read ones you burn yourself.

I doubt the startup chime will ever be equaled. I am not even sure that the Bang & Olufsen Beolab 4 speakers could reprodce the bass made by the TAM’s woofer.

The laser beam is too dim to read a CD you burn yourself, which has much less reflectivity than a commercially made CD.

I have always wanted a TAM.
