One of my girlfriends and I have successfully done a crowdfunding campaign to finance writing a book about polyamory called "More Than Two". We're sequestering ourselves in a cabin in rural Washington for the next six weeks, so that we can focus on writing the book.

The cabin is remote and has few amenities; Internet access is slow, spotty, and unreliable. In practical terms, that means I likely won't be around very much for six weeks. Carry on without me!

Good to hear you got crowdfunding to the point where you can start working on the book for real. Good luck with that, and AFAIAC/FWIW, you're out there AWL. wink

Here's wishing you the very best with this new book venture.

On a similar note I am going into the hospital next Tuesday to have two, count 'em two, cervical fusions. I am not sure what to expect from the recovery, but I will almost certainly be down for a week or so.

Let me wish you the best, Joe. May you have an uneventful recovery. smile

When I was in high school, there was a condition/situation called "necking". I suspect your condition, Joe, is (sadly) a bit different. Regardless, we will all be most happy to see your back/you're back.

You will be missed.

In any case, speedy recovery wishes!

Kind sir,
When/if you have a moment...
Will your book be scholarly / academic or is it intended for the casual reader?

You might want to have a look at the original thread I'm writing a book! and the link therein.

Ouch. Best wishes for a successful operation and a speedy recovery. Be well.

Very best luck with your venture. It's clear you enjoy working with words.

joemikeb:

Good luck with the fusions. Don't be in any hurry to get overactive post-op. Give it the effort your docs advise, but don't overdo it in optional things to prove your invincibility. I've done that following an injury and have lived to regret it.
Thoughts and prayers for you.

Yikes! Good luck and speedy recovery!

It's not intended as an academic overview; it's more a how-to guide for having multiple sustainable relationships. It's written for people who want to explore polyamory and are looking for practical, hands-on advice about making multiple romantic relationships work.

Thanks, Tacit.

For me, your book would be of benefit in eliminating, or at least reducing, misunderstandings, wrong headed thinking, biases, and facts I know to be true, but ain't. Gads, learning might even take place…

Lucky enough to have more than one girlfriend, or to have successfully raised crowdfunding? smile

I think I would actually prefer the former to the latter.

Good news! That's more about choice than about luck. Buy our book and we'll give you a roadmap. smile
