Snow Leopard to arrive August 28th - 08/24/09 03:29 PM
Apple today announced Snow Leopard upgrade (notice that is not an update) will be on sale at the Apple Stores on Friday August 28th. Online orders placed by Wednesday August 26 are expected to arrive in your mailbox August 28th as well. The pricing is as follows:

There is no mention of OS X 10.5 as a requirement so my assumption is even the upgrade is a full install DVD.
- Single user Snow Leopard upgrade -- $29
- Five license "Family Pack" upgrade -- $49
- Single user Snow Leapard "Box set" including OS X 10.6, iLife '09, and iWork '09 -- $169
- Five license "family pack" box set -- $229

- 1GB of memory
- 5GB of available disk space
- DVD drive for installation
- Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
