Preliminary Lion Compatability Table

And, Detailed Discussuion re actual usage. Much good info, some not so good. But, IMNHO, the operational details are quite interesting and worth the read.

May as well point to page one of that table (as opposed to page three).

edit: seems a bit early for 'individual' Lion-specific threads. Couldn't all the questions and/or links be lumped into a single thread for now? (for handy access).

Thanks for the catch Hal. Alas, it is now all too apparent why I was not destined for the cum laude laurel.

Still, better checking would have helped...

I find "roaringapps.com" most fitting to your avatar

Thanks, man! I guess we may need to procrastinate for a while before adopting the new cat until patches are made in both Lion and other programs. A lot of critical apps do not work properly. And if they kill Rosetta as the rumor goes now, there would be more incompatibilities down the line. Hope this does not translate into massive upgrades (for a fee, naturally) of many major apps...

I'm sorry but, isn't this all a bit premature?
Was anyone expecting every app to run in Lion today?
Lion doesn't even get released until June, right? (about 3 months away).

As with every other Mac OS upgrade in history, some apps will break and eventually get patched later. (while the more aware developers will stay on the ball the whole time).

And, we (as well as MacInTouch, and "roaring-apps", etc). will post about compatible (and incompatible) apps, after 10.7 is released.

Or, that's how it's usually done. smirk

You should see how many pages long my list of apps that don't work with OS X 10.8 is. shocked
