It's the bad actor's philosophy à la (Des)carte(s), namely "I think, therefore I ham."

Seen from a distance Q, the E and the D key separate the R and S keys, so a simple off-target key hit isn't too likely, assuming Roger wasn't using mittens while typing. grin Following Spinoza's style over Descartes' we may conclude: QED ... smirk

well, some folks get upset if you don't say Merry Christmas, as if that is the only holiday that is being celebrated right now. others get upset about some other assumed judgement or over-PC-ness of "Happy Holidays", etc... this time of year was a holiday long before Jesus of Nazareth arrived on the scene. (and that was really in April or some such month, no?) wink

I would wish for this time of year (and all year, for that matter) a sense of "reason", meaning thoughtful intelligence and the idea that good wishes for all is really the "reason for the season".

Roger as a Presbyterian Governing Elder, the spouse of a Teaching Elder (minister), the grandfather of a Jewish grandson, and a person with Muslim and Sikh friends -- I LIKE your "Reasons Greetings." Of course to some (many?) more conservative fellow Christians that probably makes me a bit of a heretic, but then Jesus bar Joseph was considered a heretic by the temple priests and elders.

thanks, Joe. I think Jesus would be proud of your heresy! cool

Can one resolve that their resolutions do not come true?

And of course, best of new years cheers to all!

Yes, but if it happens, the entire time-space continuum will be destroyed in a cataclysm of self-referential paradox. Don't do it, or you'll doom us all!

....I met myself coming out of the gym this morning as I was on my way into the gym. It looks like my resolution to eat less and exercise more is producing the desired results.

Happy New Year to all from far, far away. crazy blush grin
