I've been beta testing SnapBack (Safari extension), and a coupl'a times I've snapped back to this...most disconcerting.

Could it possibly be an FTM, rather than SnapBack, glitch?

Do you still see the blank page if you hit the browser Refresh button after snapping back?

I'm afraid I don't remember precisely what I did when I got to the blank page, but I think I refreshed it and it was not blank afterwards.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the snapback function somehow scrambled the browser referrer information, but that's just speculation. (UBB.threads looks at the browser referrer in order to prevent bad guys from hijacking a forum by using bot software to flood a forum with spam posts from a different server.)

I guess we'll never know, but if I can both duplicate the anomaly and remember what I did along the way I'll post back.

It hasn't happened again since I posted, tacit, so I'll guess that whichever SnapBack build I was testing at the moment was at fault.
