Precisely which Office and Mac updates did you install?

Code:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @rpath/mbukernel.framework/Versions/14/mbukernel
Referenced from: /Applications/Microsoft Word.app/Contents/MacOS/Microsoft Word
Reason: image not found

That suggests that your installation is incomplete...that a reinstall may be necessary, but you'll be best off waiting to see if someone can say that with certainty.

A couple of thoughts…

Might you have been running a virus protection program when you did the update? This is known to preclude complete installation. Indeed MS warns of this.

Also, have you restarted? Perhaps that will help.

In English, this error message means "I couldn't find a file named "mbukernel" in a place where I expected it to be."

This error seems to happen a lot in Microsoft Office if you move any of the applications or files it installs. It can also happen if an update does not finish installing it properly.

The fix seems to be:

- Delete Microsoft Office from your hard drive.
- Install it again.
- Let it do the update again.
