I don't know how many Evernote users there are on these forums, but if you haven't tried it, Evernote is a very useful data organization and management set of tools, but whatever you do AVOID EVERNOTE 6.0 that is currently on the App Store. For many, perhaps most, Mac users Evernote 6.0 is unusable. Old notes get lost or take several minutes to display, edits do not stick, new notes simply disappear, and the UI does a great job of inducing eyestrain.

Version 6.0.1 was released by Evernote that corrected at least some of the functional errors followed closely by 6.0.2 that correct most of the remaining functional issues and at least makes the UI readable, even if it still induces eyestrain. Unfortunately the App Store approval process takes time and Evernote 6.0 is the only version available at this point in time.

If you use Evernote, either download 6.0.2 directly from Evernote or wait until the 6.0.2 version makes it to the App Store.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

I am a big fan of Evernote and found the 6 update not to be as problematic as did joemikeb. Maybe lucky or…?

And yes, it is a washed out looking version of itself.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.
