I upgraded to Safari 11 yesterday afternoon and discovered shortly thereafter that the menu bar on the Comcast(Xfinity) website is now blank, just a black bar across the top of the page where there used to be icons for email, account, sign=in etc.
I immediate booted into my clone with the old Safari version and it worked just fine with Comcast(Xfinity) webpage. Tried everything including posts on the Apple Forums and Comcast Forums. Other folks are reporting the same problem.
Wanted to check here and see who uses Xfinity and upgraded to Safari 11 and if they are having the same problem. I called Apple Support and was eventually moved up to a 2nd Tier support who basically said it was Comcast fault .

I just called up Comcast.com on Safari 11 and the menu bar at the top of the window was fully populated as seen here. It would appear either Comcast has corrected a coding error on their site or perhaps you have an extension or extensions running that are blocking the menu bar content. I am running into that more and more frequently due, I suspect, to advertisers attempting to prevent ad blocking. Try going to the Comcast Page then on the Safari 11 menu bar select View > Reload without Content Blockers ( NOTE: I had to do that to get the linked Imgur site to display correctly.) If that works then go to View > Customize Toolbar and add the Website Preferences icon to the Safari 11 tool bar. From there you can set a number of preferences on a site-by-site basis including: - Use Reader to view site (when available)
- Enable/Disable Content blockers
- page zoom
- Autoplay preferences
- Camera preferences
- Microphone preferences
- Location Preferences
IMHO this is an invaluable resource in Safari 11.

Just went to the Xfinity home page and very strangely everything is working normally now. Other folks were still reporting the issue on Comcast and Apple Forums as of midnight last night.
Very strange, I've never seen anything like this correctly so quickly.

I upgraded to Safari 11 and the View menu does not have Reload Without Content Blockers.

I upgraded to Safari 11 and the View menu does not have Reload Without Content Blockers. It may be that is loaded as a part of the optional Developer or Debug menu. What about adding Website Preferences to the Tool Bar? What is the build number on your copy of Safari 11? Mine is Version 11.0 (13604.1.38.1.6)

I've got the same Version 11.0 (12604.1.38.1.7) as pbGuy, and since you're not running macOS 10.13 as is joemike, it seems like your version should be the same as ours. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â joemike's Version 11.0 (1 3604.1.38.1. 6) Also, I added "Website Preferences" to my address bar and found this, and unchecking the box triggers an automatic page reload (and loss of draft post ).

My bad about the Safari version. I have Version 11.0 (12604.1.38.1.7), same as yours, but not the same as joemike's. I must have been tired when I originally posted. This time, I copied and pasted it so that there would be no mistake.
I had the same issue after adding Website Preferences to the tool bar.

I'm finding that Safari 11 is noticeably snappier than Safari 10, particularly as respects FTM.
I'm sure that other versions of Safari have improved upon their predecessors, but this is the first time I remember being so aware of it.

What about adding Website Preferences to the Tool Bar? Doesn't it seem strange that Website Preferences was neither added to Safari 11's toolbar by default nor blessed with a check-box in its pref pane? It's an awfully useful tool to have been so well hidden.

If I recall correctly in one of the later beta versions Website Preferences appeared on the toolbar by default and as soon as I noticed it I glommed onto it and have used it ever since. It took some searching to find it as a toolbar customization item. I find it curious that Website Preferences do not appear in the menus. It is my assumption that the developers of Safari expect the individual website preferences to be set in Safari > Preferences > Websites and the tool bar icon is almost an afterthought. IMHO individual Website Preferences is one of the most significant new features in Safari 11 and I agree with Artie's assessment… It's an awfully useful tool to have been so well hidden. My wife is fond of saying, "The first pancake never turns out exactly the way you want it" so maybe this is " the first pancake" for Website Preferences. But IMO it is still a very useful first pancake. SIDEBAR For years there have been sites where I would have to use Chrome or Firefox because they would not function correctly with Safari. With Safari 11, and turning off content blockers using website preferences, I have yet to encounter a site that I cannot open and access completely. I'm not saying that there are no sites where I may have to resort to another browser, but so far the number is zero.
