Not totally mac related, but has anyone notice while online that the new standard of Captcha, street sign/ mountains..

I just spent 15 min. on one, 20 passes, and had to give up a support request? Any tips ideas. Thanks!

I have found that you should pick any photo that has even a hint of the street sign (like a post) or a mountain. That seems to work (at least most of the time) for me.

I assume it's the algorithm (not me, of course ), but I often get repeat requests when I'm certain that I responded correctly, and by the same token, I've been successful with what I'm certain were incorrect responses.

I've often wondered what's behind this new algorithm, though. I never found the street signs to be much of a challenge, but the numbers seemed to be a pretty good approach, although I did read that Google had an algorithm that could read them.

Have the bad guys accomplished that, too?

You may have missed one, but as I said, I've been rejected any number of times when I'd have bet that I'd gotten all of them, so go figure.

I'd swear that the algorithm is flawed, and maybe I'll get ambitious some day and record my screen in an attempt to prove it (but to what end, I've got no idea).
