I know that at one time the Search Bar (in Safari) was resizable. Now, I am unable to do such. Has that capability been removed, or, 'tis it moi who merely can't find the setting? confused

Safari > View > Customize Toolbar…

The Search bar size is determined by the space used by the other icons and spaces on the tool bar. You used to be able to insert either fixed or flexible length spaces between icons on the tool bar but in Safari 9.1.1 the only option is variable spaces.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?
