I just started using flags on Apple Mail for the first time. It's cool Mail creates a new flag folder, but I notice on the macbook air, the orange flagged emails are not showing on the laptop -- imap email.

I believe flags are a "local setting". Even though you are using IMAP, your host server does not "see" the flag. It is an artifact of Apple Mail.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

yep yep. about the only flag imap will sync is Has Been Opened.

Exchange has more advanced mail attributes though, and may maintain flags and other attributes.
