 Show number of items in Mail/Trash, doable?

In Mail 4.2, I would like to see the number of items in the Trash, similar to way it is done in Thunderbird.
Can this be done?

In Mail 3.6, when you select the Trash, the title bar of the window changes to indicate how many messages are in side. If you want to know without switching to Trash, then I don't know.
