I noticed about the time Safari 7.1.6 came out that most of the websites I subscribe to, forums, email etc, do not keep me signed in even though I have checked the boxes saying to keep me signed in.

Is this possibly some of the new security measures or something different altogether. I have not changed any of my Safari Preferences or added any extensions.

Thanks,

I am using Safari 8.0.6 and have not seen that behavior.

Some "keep me signed in" sites have expirations. For example, this site will only keep you logged in for 30 days, AT&T for 2 weeks, Facebook forever. smirk

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

works for me too. try logging in as a different user (create one if you need to) and see if the behavior continues. I suspect it won't, indicating a user-specific problem.
