Would you suggest some good, free download managers? Also, I want to be able to schedule downloads at certain times, so they have to have that feature. Otherwise, nothing fancy.
P.S. When I do a search, I only get the threads, not the posts. Is there a way to get the posts? I tried to look up download manager and got 200 hits but I would have had to read them all to see which ones actually had "download manager" in the post.
Thanks.
Rita

Rita, You might take a look at Download Scheduler 1.5 for Firefox. There is also iGetter. iGetter can schedule your downloads for low traffic periods (i.e. 4 in the morning). It is Shareware ($25 US). You may evaluate iGetter for as long as it is needed to decide if it suits your needs and if you want to purchase it. iGetter will show a shareware reminder dialog at every startup during this evaluation period. Registering iGetter will give us the opportunity to continue the development of iGetter. For more information about scheduling, you could review some of the threads at the iGetter for Mac OS X forum. I have no first hand experience with either of these items.
Back up everything you can't afford to lose: documents, mail, movies, music, photos, and other data and settings.

Thanks, Dianne. I had already looked into iGetter but was too cheap to pay for the Pro which includes the scheduler. I may have to. I will check out the Download Scheduler 1.5 for Firefox. Thanks so much for the info. My Safari crashes a lot when I try to download YouTube videos anyway, so Firefox may be the way to go.
