Apple TV and projectors/TVs

If your projector or TV doesn't support HDMI, or if the only HDMI port on the display is already occupied, here's the best alternative I have found for attaching an AppleTV to it: Kanex ATV Pro

$35 from B&H Video . (they have a LARGE selection of Macintosh/Computer/Video accessories at VERY low prices, worth browsing)

The same unit from the Apple Store is $50

I discussed the problem with Apple and this was the best alternative they were aware of. Converters to Displayport or DVI are considerably more expensive.

(FWIW, a HDMI-to-Displayport cable will not work, displayport can wire-map TO hdmi, but not vice-versa, so you will find those cables around, they just won't help you)

Highly recommend B&H. Retail store is near me, their core business is pro photo and video. Good prices and advise on everything and never had any issues.
