esata options?

I recently upgraded to a year-old MBP. the one with thunderbolt, but without usb3 and without expresscard.

So my expresscard to esata card can't be used. how can I access my esata drives? I see usb3 adapters for them but can't really use that. I see lacie "thunderbolt hubs" for $200. yikes. the adapter costs double what the drives did, that's not reasonable.

Are there any other options?

I realized that what I had written was inapplicable, meant to not post it, and somehow hit the wrong button.
