OS 10.6.8 imac 2009. 8Gb ram. I have ordered a ORICO 7 port aluminum USB3.0 HUB with 12V2.5A power adapter. model A3H7. I googled it and some say it requires OS8 and above but I found one guy who uses it on a mini mac withS/L. Should I be concerned? jaybass

If ORICO Aluminum 7 Port USB3.0 HUB with 3.3Ft USB3.0 Cable (A3H7) is the one you ordered, it supports OS X 10.2 and above (per Orico).

According to Mactracker, your iMac only supports USB2. The hub will work on your computer, but only at USB2 speeds.

iMac (19,1, 3.1 GHz i5, 12.7.4, 40 Gb RAM); MacBook Air (1.8 Ghz, 8 Gb RAM, 10.14.6, 256 Gb SSD) Vodafone router and Devolo Wi-Fi Extender, Canon TS8351 printer/scanner.

freelance, I am aware of what you say, I just wanted to know that it will work with my imac, My son and I both have a belkin 7 port hub which is faster than the belkin 4 port hub we had previously. We both noticed a difference although not as fast as USB3. Thanks.
