Albums, searching for on iPhoto, ver 9.5

I am new to the forum. Thanks for allowing me to join. I am using iPhoto 9.5.1, which I believe is the most current version. The problem I am having is trying to locate an album by the name I gave it months or years ago. Some albums are not easy to find as they seem to be lost in the shuffle. I have tried the Search function bottom left, but it does not offer the ability to search by album name. I could search by location or date, except the photos I need to locate were taken at different parts of the U.S. and on different dates. My question then is "Is there a way to search by album name?" Thank you!

The current version if iTunes is 11.3.1 (iTunes 12.1 is only available in the Yosemite public beta). However in the latest versions the search window appears at the upper right corner of the iTunes window and allows searching by all, song, artist, album, or composer.

Joe: The question was about iPhoto, not iTunes. Unfortunately, I use neither so I can't answer.

I have GOT to get new glasses or quit using the computer before I have the first cup of coffee, maybe both.

budnomore,
I think the only way to search iPhoto by album name is to use the Source list of albums in the left pane.
The albums can be sorted alphabetically by bringing up a contextual menu using control + click or right click and selecting Sort Albums.
I think albums within a folder can also be sorted alphabetically, but I am not sure.
This may help you find the album name you are looking for.

I just focused on that, and I'm wondering what, precisely, it means.
Are you saying that you've created albums the names of which you know but don't see when you scroll through your album list?
Edit: Or are you saying that scrolling through the entire list is too cumbersome and you'd like an easier way to look?
(Aside: Just how many albums have you got in iPhoto?)

Maybe, just maybe... I just found iphoto - search.cpan.org, and it looks like it's precisely what you're looking for... For instance, "show boat" will tell iPhoto to display the album "boat" just as if you had selected it from iPhoto's albums pane. but... THIS IS EXPERIMENTAL SOFTWARE! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
This script provides a shell for iPhoto. Make a backup of your photo library, or use a test library, to play with this script.
I last tested this with iPhoto 6. Hope it helps! Edit: I just d/l'ed the script and took a look, and it's not for the faint of heart.
