OS 10.5.8
I legally downloaded a large movie openening with DivX plus Player/mkv and it has no sound. I went to file/ info and took a screen shot. I clicked on preview and it played with sound! Since it has played with sound, I assume there must be a way of introducing it into the movie...but how?
I went to the menu/video info, and the audio render says Unknown and the audio Decoder and audio format boxes are blank. Anyone with any ideas?

Have just finished converting my movie to an avi. Took 97 mins in visual hub. The sound is okay but the picture is pixelating.
I'm wondering if any other format would be better.

After looking at DivX's forum, I see several users have the same problem i.e no audio. Someone suggested open with VLC so I gave it a try. The mkv played perfectly so if anyone is in this situation, you know what to do. BTW, the software DivX advocates didn't work for me...AC3CodecMacOSX.

OS10.5.8 I downloaded MacX Free MKV Video Converter to day and converted a mkv file to an avi. (The same movie I downloaded earlier.) Plays perfectly on my computer. I then transferred it to a flash card and again it played great. When I tried to play it through my sony blue ray player, there is no picture and the audio lasts about 10 seconds then returns to the beginning. Does anyone know why this happening? This has never happened before. Is there any software that would solve my problem? I would greatly appreciate some advice.
