I have iPhoto '08 V7.1.5

I also have plenty of duplicate photos....and would like to get the library down to a single copy of each. There seem to be a few programs out there to assist but I was wondering if anyone here has recommendations.

Am I really the only person whose iPhoto library gets filled with duplicates?

That's quite unlikely, given the return on this Google search. Between (free) Applescripts to identify duplicates (as a first step in removing them) and low-cost 3rd party utilities, there seem to be enough options to deal with your chore. laugh But since I haven't had to use any of them, I'm not in a position to recommend anything.

Thanks for doing the search. I did do some Google searching before posting and the Annihilator program popped up in a few places. However, there were a few detractors so I thought I'd see what other people here may have found.

Cost is not an issue (in fact, I like to support the small publishers), but I'm very careful what applications I add to my machine and look to FTM as the best source of information that keeps me out of trouble.

Scripts and Terminal entries are a good example. When I get a Terminal trouble-shooting instruction at FTM, I have no hesitation in using it. From elsewhere......not so much. wink

Thanks again.
